Remote learning and remote teaching during the Spring of 2020 was challenging for our family. In the Fall of 2020, we prepared for a new school year which would consist of hybrid learning for my children entering Fourth and Sixth Grades, while I would be teaching fully remote. We asked ourselves if we could create a better experience for our family, one that allowed us to help our children achieve their academic goals while avoiding some of the stressors of pandemic schooling. Could we create a school year that balanced academics, life skills, the outdoors, and quality time with friends and family?
The answer was yes and Polley Prep was born.
Polley Prep Tutoring is an extension of our homeschooling year. Allow me to bring my love of learning and holistic approach to education to your family. I look forward to collaborating with you and crafting a personalized plan to help your child thrive academically.
After graduating with my degree in Elementary Education, life took me on a different path and I found a challenging career in financial services. I embraced my new career and completed my MBA at Suffolk University. Years later, we started a family and I became a stay-at-home mom with my two boys. As they got older, I slowly re-entered the workforce, first as a substitute teacher and then as a part-time Fifth Grade ELA teacher at Innovation Academy Charter School. Most recently, I worked as a classroom teacher in Westford in Third and Fifth Grades.
In the classroom, I prided myself on creating a positive, nurturing environment in which students could thrive. As your child's tutor, I aspire to replicate this supportive atmosphere.
